IN MY OPINION...
When public speaking there are so many things to remember, below is a list of suggestions on how to improve your public speaking experience: Developing your Speech Content * Body language * Keeping audience attention* Other thoughts
DEVELOPING YOUR SPEECH CONTENT
There is no such thing as having too much data. As you gather your content, find as many facts, figures, lessons learned and basic information for the formulation of your topic. Interview staff or technical professionals on the subject so that you can get a variety of viewpoints on one subject.
Once you have gathered all the data needed, break down into sections and create an outline. An outline can be in an itemed list, pro/con format, just to name a few. Once set up into an outline, it is at this point that you can take the information and create short paragraphs about the subject matter, next take the paragraphs and put them in a logical order. It is from this order than you can begin refining your presentation. Once created, the next step is to practice it outloud. Ask yourself, how does it sound?
Record yourself so that you can hear any presentation problems. Refine/practice/refine/practice... it make take weeks to perfect, but it will come together and be a masterpiece!
Other subjects are being developed, please revisit.
